I realized I missed having a cat, so I got Poetry the next year when she at least a year old (she was a rescue cat). Her profile said she was good with dogs. Gabriel accepted her right away and she tolerates him. :-) We think that large bird is a Red-tail Hawk, but I'm not absolutely sure. I've seen a huge owl in our woods--twice. Would love to get a photo of that! I'll be doing a Wildlife post next week.Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17103364860587388726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2504150188395321059.post-57779705692453568932014-01-11T02:16:43.839-05:002014-01-11T02:16:43.839-05:00What a spectacular setting you live in, Cathy! The apartment complex where I live is very nice and backs up on 2 sides to undeveloped forests - and I noticed when I was applying [about 6 weeks before 9-11] that they charged extra for a unit with "woodland views" - they could get a LOT if their woodland views were anything like yours - wow. LOVE your lil furry family and how well they get along together. "Yep, that's my cat..." So cute. Did they grow up together? PS - what WAS that bird in the video? Looked a bit like a big old owl to me but then again - ??? Thanks again - I am hugely enjoying reading all your archived posts. Working my way slowly but surely... Take care.Janet Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04754470262654502312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2504150188395321059.post-78276225060955654012013-01-24T07:28:24.173-05:002013-01-24T07:28:24.173-05:00I'll have to do a Blog about the deer soon! Then suddenly the pile stood up! It was that herd of deer all in a bundle trying to stay warm. <br />Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17103364860587388726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2504150188395321059.post-9003510863388133542013-01-23T23:12:01.016-05:002013-01-23T23:12:01.016-05:00What a wonderful post!!!!! Esp. love Gabriel's reaction to the mechanical kitty. Thanks for making me smile :)Wendy S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15844140164219677671noreply@blogger.com
